Thank You Coach Vic!   December 10, 2009 The Virginia Lions football organization would like to send a special thank you to coach Victor Coates. Dr. Victor Coates was the head coach for the Lions 2009 season which was also the Virginia Lions first season in the history of professional minor league football.  It is always tough losing a strong member of our family but we must wish a happy farewell to Coach Vick.  Coach Vic is a offensive guru as well as a mastermind in the game of football and was intricate in building the foundation for the 2010 season Virginia Lions. Coach Vic's contributions to the Virginia Lions and the game of football will forever be appreciated by the Virginia Lions and all those who had the benefit of competing with him in this great sport. The Virginia Lions would like to say "Thank You Coach Vic !!!"  and we wish him well in his next phases of life!   Virginia Lions "Join the Pride!"
