VIRGINIA LIONS
OFFICIAL PLAYER CONTRACT AND WAIVER
I, ____________________________, forever discharge and release the Virginia Lions Football, LLC, Pride of Lions Foundation INC, the Alliance Football League, all school districts, municipal recreation and parks districts, all private, and all other facilities where we may practice football, and/or play our games, from all liabilities, claims, demands, costs, expenses, damages, actions, and causes of actions, thereof, which the signee may incur during the course of his VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATIONS within, or attendance at, the aforementioned football practices, games and/or events.
This waiver and release is given for, and in consideration of the opportunity to participate at the professional minor league level of this sport, and the signee acknowledges this execution with the understanding that this document will serve as his official Virginia Lions and Alliance Football League player contract, for the period of time between the signing date, and December 31, 2010. Terms and conditions of this contract shall be totally consistent with the AFL Bylaws, and the Virginia Lions Code of Conduct policy, and specifically forbid any player movement between the AFL member teams during the active contractual period, without mutually agreed and sanctioned releases by the AFL and all parties involved.
The undersigned warrants that he suffers from no minor or serious injuries or illnesses, or disabilities which would render him susceptible to further injury or disability, while performing any related or contemplated activity, as therein consistent with the specific intents and purposes of this document.
The signee also agrees knowing that any team uniform (home and away jersey, pants, helmet, or loaned equipment) given is on a LEND basis while the player is representing the Virginia Lions for the current playing season unless specific written arrangements are made by the organization with the undersigned person. All issued equipment and uniforms must be surrendered at the time of asking by any Virginia Lions official. If the equipment or uniform is not returned within seven (7) days of asking, the undersigned player will be charged up to three (3) times the actual amount and all pertinent information will be sent to collections and brought against you in small claims court.
The undersigned player warrants that he fully understands that a player registration fee of $210 U.S. Dollars is payable to the Virginia Lions Football, LLC for participation in the Virginia Lions football program for the current playing season. Your registration fee does not guarantee the signed player any specific amount of playing time. Positions are earned and not given therefore the best players will play. Your registration fee allows you to compete for a starting position as well as playing time. The undersigned also acknowledges that all player fees are not refundable by any means. This pertains to a player quitting, player being released, ceasing of operations, or any reason not listed within this contract.
There is no negotiation of team fees.
The undersigned further declares that he is fully able to participate in any of the aforementioned activities, and fully comprehends and accepts liability for any attendant, or associated risks associated with said participation.
